What does a Notary Public do for me?
We can certify that your signature does belong to you. This is normally necessary when documents need to be sent overseas.
As notaries we are able to certify or warrant the truth of documents brought to us. These documents can often be copies of originals or documents that have been translated from another language.
We can authenticate the execution of documents for example, when adopting a child overseas.
We can vouch for your's or any witnesse's identity.
A notary is able to administer an oath, take declaration or swear an affidavit.
Protesting or noting a Bill of Exchange.
What will it cost me to use a Notary Public?
The minimum fee is NZ $60.00 plus GST and the hourly charge rate is NZ $280.00 plus GST and any expenses.
Time and expense can be saved if you supply, before any consultation, the originals or exact photocopies of: . All documents to be notarised . All correspondence or forms of instructions that relate to the service that is to be performed . Identification evidence (see below) . Documents to be notarised should not be bound as they may have to be rebound with a covering Notarial Certificate.

What proof do I need to bring of my identity?
We prefer a current passport but can accept other current photo identification, for example your driver's licence. |
